Media Events throughout the Year!

Media is proud to play host to another year-long series of diverse and exciting events. The season begins with the Chinese New Year Celebration in February, and will culminate as always with the New Year's Eve Celebration & Ball Drop... where else can you ring in the new year with a real ball drop?

Long-running events like the Music Series (Americana Roots Ramble in April, the Blues Stroll in June and the Jazz By Night Celebration in October) continue to grow in popularity. Throughout the year, enjoy favorites such as the Food & Craft Festival and Santa's Arrival. And get ready for summer... Dining Under the Stars is back this year!

Houses for Haiti Fundraiser
Saturday, January 30, 2010 -- Monday, February 15, 2010

Purchase a handmade house pin with a donation of $5 or more, and help aid efforts in Haiti. Donations will benefit Partners in Health, an organization that has been providing health care for impoverished Haitians for over 25 years.

The pins were created at Media-Providence Friends School.  Each student in Pre-K through 8th Grade has made and decorated one or more one-of-a-kind miniature houses which were then lacquered by faculty and turned into pins to be worn on coats, shirts, etc.

They will be featured at additional venues throughout town during the Media Arts Council's 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll on February 13.
