Director of Delco: The Movie flips the switch on 2025 in Media
Chris Pierdomenico tapped to usher in the New Year at Media’s Annual Ball Drop!
Join us for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration on State Street in Media. A very special guest will be flipping the switch to light the 2025 sign perched atop Spasso Italian Grill in the heart of Media’s State Street District, at the stroke of midnight on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
Chris Pierdomenico, the writer, director and producer of Delco: The Movie will be doing the honors!
The world premiere of Delco: The Movie will be showing at the Media Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, January 18th and 19th, followed by Q&A with the filmmaker and cast. Tickets are available at www.MediaTheatre.org.
The New Year’s Eve excitement kicks off when the DJ starts spinning party tunes at the intersection of State and Jackson Streets in downtown Media. A highlight of the evening will feature a live performance by local singer Hannah Birzes before Pierdomenico takes the spotlight.
“There’s no better place to premiere Delco: The Movie than at the iconic Media Theatre, the heart of arts and entertainment in our humble county” said Pierdomenico. “Delco and red carpets might not seem like they go together, but in Media, everything is possible. I’m honored to throw the switch at midnight this New Year’s Eve to bring Everybody’s Hometown into 2025!”
Many of the State Street District’s wonderful restaurants are hosting special events, so book a reservation and make a night of it in downtown Media! Corral your friends to dance in the street and pose at one of the New Year’s Eve selfie stations for truly unique snaps to share on social media. Then, just before midnight, the countdown begins, and Delco’s own fabulous glowing orb descends from more than 100 feet above the buildings, thanks to the crane sponsored by Lift Pro Crane & Pro Tree Services.
Media’s New Year’s Eve Ball Drop festivities commence at 11:00 pm on Saturday, December 31, 2024, and conclude at 12:30 am on Sunday, January 1, 2025, in Media, PA “Everybody’s Hometown.” Parking is free in the Baltimore Avenue Garage.
